Kusatsu Onsen
Kusatsu is located at the foot of Mt. Shirane in Gunma Prefecture. The city became well known about 120 years ago when German doctor Dr Balz found its hot spring to be very effective. In Kusatsu Onsen, there are eighteen public baths. Each bath has a different effect and a different source. Most of them operate 24 hours a day. From Tokyo travel by Shinkansen to Karuizawa (70 min) then take the Spa Resort Liner coach to Kusatsu (60 min).

Gero
Gero-onsen is located in the picturesque Hida area, located in the center part of Honshu. It has been known as a healing hot spring since the 10th century and has welcomed countless visitors over the centuries. It takes 1 hour 30 minutes by JR limited express train from Nagoya Station.
