Our brand new route! Travel through one of the most beautiful natural treasures in the country, Kamikochi, where you’ll have two hours of free time to admire magnificent scenery. Then, visit the historic town of Takayama and world heritage site Shirakawa-go with its distinctive gassho-zukuri style mountain houses.

Itinerary

Departure from Tokyo
Day 1: Tokyo – Kamikochi – Takayama Takayama
  Tour departs from Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku and walk to Shinjuku Station and catch a train to Matsumoto Station. Catch a coach and visit Kamikochi where you will have two hours of free time to admire magnific scenery. Catch express busses to the historic town of Takayama.
Arrive at Takayama between 17:40 and 20:00.
2 nights at Hida Hotel Plaza in Takayama.
Day 2: Takayama – Shirakawa go – Takayama Takayama
  Visit Miyagawa Morning Market. Catch a bus and visit World heritage site “Shirakawa-go Observatory” and Wada Residence. Catch a bus back to Takayama.
Arrive at Takayama between 16:05 and 17:05.

Day 3: Takayama – Kyoto
 
  In the morning, stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colourfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folk craft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, which preserve traditional Japanese wooden houses.

In the afternoon, head toward Kyoto by Shinkansen Bullet Train and arrive in Kyoto between 17:10 and 18:30.
Tour will disband upon arrival at Kyoto.

Day 3: Kyoto – Tokyo
