Travel by Shinkansen to Kyoto in the morning. After lunch experience the rich history and culture of Nara. Visit Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden structure and home of the Great Buddha. Mingle with the deer at
Nara Park and marvel at the many lanterns at Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
Return to Kyoto for your first night.
The next day is a full day of Kyoto sightseeing. See the Tokugawa era shogun's resident, Nijo Castle, admire the gold-leaf covered Golden Pavilion, and stroll through the exquisite gardens surrounding it. Walk through Kyoto Imperial Palace and watch traditional artisans work their craft at the Kyoto Handicraft Center.
After lunch visit Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu Temple.
Day 3 is free until your departure by Shinkansen to Tokyo.

Morning transfer to Tokyo Station between.
Board a Shinkansen train for the classical city of Kyoto.
Enjoy a splendid view of imposing Mt.Fuji en route (weather permitting).

After lunch visit Nara and the Todaiji Temple with the Great Buddha. Feed the tame deer in Nara Park and marvel at the lanterns at Kasuga Shrine, Nara Nagomikan before returning to Kyoto.
Return to Kyoto for your first nights accommodation.

In the evening (between 6 and 7pm) board a Shinkansen train back to Tokyo, arriving between 9 and 10pm.

Baggage carriage is not included. Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage.

** At the "Nijo Castle", on every Tuesday in Jan., Jul., Aug. & Dec., "Nijo Castle" is closed and you will visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.
** At the Kyoto Imperial Palace, on every Saturday, Sunday, national holidays and some other days, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit "Nishi Honganji" instead.
** To enter the Kyoto Imperial Palace, you are required to fill out the form (your name, sex, age, nationality).
