Depart Kyoto by Shinkansen to Nagoya and change to the Hida Limited Express train for Takayama. |

Upon arrival visit the Yatai Kaikan Hall with its impressive exhibition of festival floats, which are paraded through the streets of Takayama on festival days in April and October.
Next stop is the Kasukabe Folk Craft Museum and Kami Sannomachi Street where you can step back in time.

Explore the exciting morning markets along the river before taking a coach to Shirakawago via Lake Miboro. Shirakawago is famous for its steep thatched roofed houses where people still live today as they have for centuries. Experience the art of Japanese paper making at Gokayama.

A district established in the 16th century as one of the great nightspots of Kanazawa. |

One Way Trip Course (L300)
Your baggage will be transported by land from Kyoto to Tokyo with allowance of one piece per person. For the overnight stay in Takayama and Kanazawa, we recommend you to carry a light overnight bag with you. For extra baggage, JPY2,200 will be charged per piece.
Round Trip Course (L400)
Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel in Kyoto while you travel by train.

* We recommend casual clothes and comfortable shoes suitable for walking and also to bring an overcoat or warm clothes for the winter season from October to February.
