Mt. Fuji – Shizuoka Area Pass

Mt. Fuji – Shizuoka Area Tourist Pass Mini is a special discounted pass available only to foreign travellers visiting Japan under the entry status of “Temporary visitor”. Visitors can use this pass to travel from Atami to as far as Toyohashi. It is valid on three consecutive calendar days of your choice. This pass can be used on the JR conventional trains, bus and ferries to visit places around Mt. Fuji, including Gotemba Premium Outlets, Fujikyu Highland, etc.

ELIGIBILITY

  • If you are a tourist visiting Japan from abroad for sightseeing:
    • You must be visiting Japan under the entry status of “Temporary visitor” according to Japan Immigration Law. When you enter Japan for sightseeing, entry personnel will stamp the passport as “Temporary visitor”. Only a person who has a passport bearing this stamp can use a JAPAN RAIL PASS. Please note that according to strict interpretation of the Japanese Immigration Law, “Temporary visitor” status differs even from other types of stays that are also for only short time periods.
  • If you are a Japanese national living in a foreign country:
    • You cannot use JR(Japan Rail) Central Passes.
    • In a rare case when travellers have dual passports (Japanese & Other), unless your valid non Japanese passport is stamped with “Temporary Visitor”, issuance of JR Central pass will be refused.

EXCHANGE

  • To exchange the voucher for the Pass you will need your passport.
  • JR(Japan Rail) Exchange Offices (Offices and service hours are subject to change or discontinuation without notice. ):
    • JR Central: Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama, Atami, Mishima, Shin-Fuji, Shizuoka, Kakegawa, Hamamastu, Toyohashi, Nagoya, Kyoto, Shin-Osaka
    • JR Tokai tours: Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shin-Yokohama

VALIDITY

  • The valid period of a JR(Japan Rail) Mt. Fuji – Shizuoka Area Pass is the consecutive 3 days beginning on the date the PASS is first used.
  • Within three months from the date the Exchange Order was issued, you must turn in your Exchange Order to obtain your JR Mt. Fuji – Shizuoka Area Pass (for example, an Exchange Order issued on 15APR would have to be turned in by 14JUL). At that time, it is necessary to specify the date that you want to start using the Pass. It can be any date within three month from the date the Exchange Order was issued.
  • Once the PASS has a starting date written on it, the date cannot be changed.

CANCELLATION

  • Refund can only be made with the original JR(Japan Rail) Pass Exchange Order within one year of the date of issue.
  • After the pass is exchanged in Japan, the ticket is non refundable and non changeable.
  • Neither an Exchange Order nor a Japan Rail Pass can be reissued if lost or stolen.
  • 10% of the price will be charged as a refund handling fee.
  • Credit card surcharge and courier fee are non refundable.

JR ISE-KUMANO-WAKAYAMA PASS


Ise – Kumano – Wakayama Pass

The Ise – Kumano – Wakayama Area Tourist Pass is a special discounted pass available only to foreign travellers visiting Japan under the entry status of “Temporary visitor”. Visitors can use this pass to travel from Nagoya to as far as Kushimoto. It is valid on five consecutive calendar days of your choice. This pass can be used on the JR Limited Express trains to and from Nagoya, within Osaka city, Nara and on designated bus routes and railways convenient for visitng Ise/Toba area. On top of that, rental bicycles “Ekirin Kun” services can also be use at Wakayama station, Kiitanabe and Shirahama station.

  • Unlimited use of following buses:
    • Designated sections of Mie Kotsu Group’s route buses: Owase Station front-Washige, Owase Station front-Segiyama-Kumano Kodo Center, Senmaida and Tori-toge pass entrance.
    • Designated sections of Kumano Kotsu’s route buses: Katsuura station – Nachisan, Katsuura station-Shingu station of the Wakayama Electric Railway’s Kishigawa Line.
  • Rental bicycles “Ekirin Kun” services can be used at Wakayama station, Kiitanabe station and Shirahama station.
  • * Limited to those aged 12 and above. Can be used everyday while the pass is valid. Number of bicycles is limited and may not be available.

TAKAYAMA-HOKURIKU AREA PASS


Takayama-Hokuriku Area Pass

Takayama (高山) is a city in the mountainous Hida region of Gifu Prefecture. To differentiate it from other places named Takayama, the city is also commonly referred to as Hida-Takayama. Takayama retains a traditional touch like few other Japanese cities, especially in its beautifully preserved old town. It now ranks as one of the prime candidates among travelers wishing to add a rural element into their itineraries.

  • To exchange the voucher for the Pass you will need your passport.
  • The start date of the Pass can no longer be changed once the pass has been exchanged.

VALIDITY

  • The Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass is valid on following Non-reserved seats of ordinary cars of JR limited express, express, rapid, and ordinary trains:
    • (1) Between Nagoya - Toyama station (via Tokaido/Takayama lines)
      (2) Between Kanazawa - Kyoto station - stations within Osaka City area (via Hokuriku/Kosei/Tokaido lines)
      (3) Between stations within Osaka City area - Kansai-airport station (via Hanwa/Kansai-airport lines)
    • Nohi Bus/Toyama Chiho Railway/Hokutetsu Bus: Shirakawago/Kanazawa line and Takayama/Toyama line between Takayama Nohi Bus Center – Shirakawago – Kanazawa (with some exceptions; reservations required)
    • Non-reserved seats of ordinary cars of the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Toyama - Kanazawa station.
    • Kaetsuno Bus: World Heritage Bus between Shirakawa-go - Shin-Takaoka station
  • The pass cannot be used on the following routes and transportation:
    • Reserved seats on ordinary cars of the “Haruka Airport Express” running between Kyoto Station - Kansai-airport Station and those of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
    • Home liners and other liners. When using trains that require numbered tickets or liner tickets, you will be billed fees for numbered tickets or liner fees.
    • The Tokaido Shinkansen or sleeper trains. If you wish to ride the Tokaido Shinkansen or sleeper train, you will be separately required to pay basic fare and any additional fees.

Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Area Tourist Pass

The JR Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Area Tourist Pass is a special discounted pass available only to foreign travellers visiting Japan under the entry status of “Temporary visitor”. Visitors can use this pass to travel from Nagoya to as far as Toyama. It is valid on five consecutive calendar days of your choice from the date of first use indicated on the day of the exchange. This pass avails unlimited rides on JR conventional lines running between Nagoya – Gero – Takayama – Toyama, and between Shinano-Omachi – Matsumoto – Nagoya. Furthermore, this pass is also valid on all transportation services within the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (Between Toyama and Shinano Omachi).

EXCHANGE

  • The activation date of the pass, once the pass has been obtained, can no longer be changed.
  • The voucher is valid for 3 months after purchase.
  • You must present your passport in order to exchange a voucher for a pass.
  • Travelers are able to exchange their voucher at designated JR Exchange Offices or at some branch offices of JR Tokai Tours, Inc.

VALIDITY

This JR Alpine-Takayama-Matsumoto Area Tourist Pass covers the following transport services and routes:

  • Non-reserved seating on JR limited express, express, rapid, and local trains:
    • Between Nagoya station – Toyama station (via Tokaido/Takayama lines)
    • Between Shinano-Omachi station and Nagoya station (via Oito/Shinonoi/Chuo Main lines)
  • Unlimited use of transportation within the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
    • Between Dentetsu-Toyama and Shinano-Omachi within Alpine Route
    • Non-reserved seating on Toyama Chiho Railway limited express trains between Dentetsu-Toyama station and Tateyama station included.
  • The pass cannot be used on home liners and other liners.
  • This pass does not allow you to travel on Tokaido Shinkansen, Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Toyama Chiho Railway between Terada station – Unazuki-Onsen station. Please be aware that to travel on Tokaido Shinkansen, Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Toyama Chiho Railway between Terada station – Unazuki-Onsen station, you will need to pay the required basic fare and any additional fees separately.
